Those are mullet. And the sea trout was probably a corvina.We caught a bunch of these bonefish... these are bonefish, right? I also fished the point of the estuary from the Playa Encanto side, one of the other guys caught a flounder and supposedly someone caught a sea trout the previous day. They caught the flounder with a kastmaster.
Thanks for correcting me on that. Looks like eastern pacific bonefish maybe? I’ve caught them on the fly and they are a blast. I’ve had great success catching them from shore just after sunset with a black clouser minnow.Negative sir. OP is correct. That is a BONER and they are fairly common in the spring time. Also known as the poor man's Tarpon and they are supposed to be really fun on the fly rod.
