Feb. 26: “Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low. … When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero. That’s a pretty good job we’ve done."

Now remember Steve, Iggy, Queens. These are called quotes. Quotes indicate the words came directly from the mouth of a person. This is not media, this is not fake. There are videos of said quotes. Let me hear the hot air come out of your mouth. Ready? Go!

These people are taking this very seriously. 2 weeks in quarantine for us..most business's shut down..curfew from 10 to 6..no open beaches..now just heard the Port Captain has issued a Mandatory no tourist fishing no tourist boats in the water order. Fishermen who bring in food for Peñasco are exempt I just heard at 545 Sunday as they are considered essential.
Thank you Russ for your post.

You are truly unhinged and just vomit hatred. Extreme case of TDS. Possibly incurable.

This used to be a great forum about Rocky Point. People sharing experiences and sometimes asking for advice. Now it is a bunch of angry people insulting each other. What a shame.

You are right. I retract my above TDS post and would like to continue moving this forum forward in a positive and supportive way for the community and anyone affected. Thank you Tico.

Now that the soap opera music has died down, let's get serious. I have a number of friends who live south of the border and I'm thinking of them often at this time and I'm confident they realize the challenges ahead. If you're still in PP and have a second home in the states, at this point in the game I'm sure you're looking hard at the area you would be retreating too. Tough choices. For both, what part of the restrictions with be the hardest to follow? I would think that because of the tight family's and friendships in PP, just having to stay away from each other should be at the top of the list. Any thoughts?
Oh, Steve, I went back and looked at all your posts since you have dropped in on us and I think you should too. When you look at all your responses it's plain to see that it's you that is trying to spread the "hate", and when looking at them as a whole objectively, some might think you were just a troll. Now some might give it some thought and possibly come up with a PP kind guy response to my question above, but I'm afraid you'll see it as another kind of opportunity.

Without waiver....without waiver....I said it twice to be perfectly clear. I would rather be where I am in Mexico than anywhere up there. We are social distancing we are doing what our leaders are telling us and we feel safe. Little Peñasco and the State of Sonora has shown how it should be done in the face of this pandemic...

You must know that for not one split second did I think that any of my friends that have made Puerto Penasco, Cholla Bay or other parts of Mexico their home were going to flee. So how is it Russ, you being a people person? There's only myself and so it may be easier for me to isolate, but I've been on it. This month I've had only one on one contact on the 6th. One trip for instore purchases for groceries on the 13th. Yesterday after discovering Fry's Market will bring your order to your car, I used that option and will continue to do so. A few drives down to the river and such, then back home to work around my place. The Hollyhocks are looking good.

Yes we are people oriented in our business life but it is almost like performing art. We are actually having a blast at home concentrating on art that we each do individually. I am busy in my wood working shop and lamp building studio and Naomi is busy sewing new clothes for our next season. We are fortunate in many ways. When we have to shop I go by myself at 730 am when no one is up. Everything we need is at the store there is no hoarding going on here. A plus is that wine is on sale at Super Ley and it is a great bottle from Northern Baja CA. I have to admit that it was tough to have to miss our Mermaids Market last weeks and then the next 1 this week April 4th which is our end of the season big party with live music and food from all over and tons of artist.....we will simply reschedule it and the demand for something to do will be off the charts so I am sure when we do do it it will be huge. Right now we are planning on being home for at least 2 more weeks. All public events were cancelled by the city until at least April 20th and this happened weeks ago as part of the cities forward thinking. We will get through this just fine I think. It is weird to drive into town and see almost zero traffic.....I will miss that when we get back online....Oh well, back to the studio.....
