Wow, that's a nice rig. That live bait well is making me jealous. I have the pirhanamax 170 FF on my 'yak. I wish it had gps so I could mark the good spots. I guess I could use my phone. Still sometimes it seems that chasing birds is about as productive as anything. You might want to flip that...

A bit, but just like the end of Prohibition in the U.S., the cartels would be greatly reduced. As long as you have humans, you will have appetite for drugs. It's the government's Prohibition that causes the problem.

We have chickens that we feed good feed plus table scraps and they get to forage for greens and bugs. Also they're not confined to a 2'x2' box inside and injected with hormones and antibiotics. Their yolks are dark like the Mexican ones and they taste better. Modern American farming practices...

For Corvina, high tide or tide running (either in or out) and also evening is always good for me. So mid-day low tide is out.

Wow, I've never gotten a mackerel (or a bone fish). That's a big fish on any rod, let alone a fly rod. Nice report.

When big tide goes out, it looks like it's all sand. Was just there weekend before last and it was full at high tide.

I'm surprised you haven't caught Corvina in those areas. Any minnow imitation fished at around 6 foot depth should be productive. Incoming tide or high tide near the mouth of either estuary is usually good.

Mine puked up five or so little fish after I caught her. She was full of eggs so I felt kind of bad. She was delicious though.

That guy in the picture is me and that's by far the biggest fish I've ever caught. Just lucky this time. We rented a house on Playa Encanto and I launched from there and paddled out about a mile. To launch from that side of the estuary, you could probably easily talk your way past the security...
