Hey Ric,
I'll definitely let you know the next time I decide to head down there, I had a blast and the drive was so easy compared to driving down Baja 1.
Yeah Kenny, Lots o' Bendo with those lighter 8lb test outfits. I was just kind of bummed that I didn't hook any Grouper...but there is always next time. HOOK-UP!!
Hey Wahoo, we caught about 2 dozen Corvina. We only brought back two 1 gallon zip-lock bags of fillets. I ate some of the Spotties and Corvina, and they were both awesome. If you bleed them out/cut their throats after you catch them, when it come time to fillet them, there meat will be...
MJ,
We initially fished plastic swimbaits with 1-1 1/2 ounces leadheads, but they would get shredded and torn up by all the Spotties and especially the Triggers, so we ended up using pieces of of swimbaits and pieces of Berkely Gulp Sand Crabs/Sidewinder Crabs/Ghost Shrimp and Sand Worms...
Had link to another board because I had 10571 charters and over 30 pics.
Hope you enjoy...also I got to meet Ric Felder at an eatery in Cholla Bay and he was super cool...
Actually looks a little like a monster Cockle Clam. Probably would make for some tasty chowder and definitely some AWESOME for fish bait. If you that clam on a hook, you'd go major bendo, everthing would eat that clam, guaranteed!
I ate that fish. It was a White Sea Bass that I caught at Pyramid Cove at San Clemente Island. I've never caught a Totuaba and I've never fished the upper Sea of Cortez. Hopefully someday soon. HOOK-UP!!
