    Crescent rolls

@GV Jack -- if you want to eat your cheesecake tomorrow night, you should bake it in the morning. It has to chilled 8 hours first. But, if you prefer to drink it, I guess you won't have to wait. (I haven't tried drinking one without the overnight chilling, so let me know how that works out!)...

    Crescent rolls

That recipe looks pretty close to the one I use. I liked the author's suggestion of making this for Cinco de Mayo or .... Trienta de Febrero! That would be a day to celebrate.

    Crescent rolls

Thanks for the offer Playperro, but it won't be necessary. CS didn't have the crescent rolls, but they could get a case in a week ... don't need that many. After that, I decided to make a margarita cheesecake instead. All ingredients available. The other one will just have to wait until I...

I've been reading all the threads about him. I'll keep my eyes open!

    Crescent rolls

No, why? Does someone in Section 2 want my cheesecake that I haven't made yet?

    Crescent rolls

Sorry Playa, you're too late with your edit. I already saw who you want to make it for you! Also I hope you don't mean you want the recipe for the cheese steaks - you would have to ask CS for that! (Sorry ... just yanking your chain!) "Assuming" (yes, I know that gets me in trouble) you...

    Crescent rolls

Yes, it is a good place. I have been there before - but primarily when they had their cafe. Great cheesesteaks!

Thanks LadyJeeper - I'll wander by there.

    Crescent rolls

Yeah, I've bought lots of good bread at the various local stores. My favorite (so far) is the panque at Super Ley. For now I just need the dough. The already completed crescent rolls won't work for the crust for a sopapilla cheesecake.

    Crescent rolls

Thanks! I thought I looked there, but I must have missed them. I'll check again.

    Crescent rolls

Do y'all know of any store around Peñasco that sells Pillsbury (or any other brand) crescent rolls in tubes? Well, I guess they don't have to come in a tube. Just crescent roll dough that can make a 9" x 13" flat rectangle. Thanks!

10 Flights from Juarez to Penasco this summer

Does anyone know about the safety of the Juarez airport? Since so much of the drug violence in Mexico is concentrated in Juarez, I was just wondering if they are keeping the airport safe. Also, did anything come from the discussions to have flights from Las Vegas?

After 45 Years I'm Wondering is there Value is in RP?

Yes, I thought $320 was a little high. But my "really" comment was directed at how had it seems to be to find that particular tire. Goodyear says that they don't make it anymore. I didn't realize we had such an unusual size. Yep, it's for a 5th wheel, but those are fairly common.

After 45 Years I'm Wondering is there Value is in RP?

Driving from Peñasco to Vegas last week, we had 2 blowouts on our RV. Middle of nowhere. Roadside service charged $320 for one replacement tire. Friday, Goodyear told us we could get both replaced under warranty. Still waitig for them. So far they've only found one. Really. Is it that...

A few questions from a Noob

Thanks for the use of the photos! Katrina really did a number on Mississippi & New Orleans. We travel to the Mississippi coast quite a bit, and there are still (almost 7 years later) areas where you can see the damage. You just don't hear as much about hurricane damage on the Pacific side...

    Portable A/C at Coppel

I don't remember seeing them at Mueblas Coloniales; but we weren't looking for those at the time. Besides, we still haven't been upstairs. Like I said, I know they don't always work for every situation - hence the question about the return policy. The sales clerk at the Fry's in Vegas said...

    Portable A/C at Coppel

When we were at Coppel last week, we saw they had a DeLonghi Penquino portable A/C. There was no price sign for it. We figured we'd check it out online, but couldn't find it on their website (perhaps we just looked in the wrong place). Does anyone know their price? Also does anyone know...

    Seen in Las Vegas ....

When we were leaving the Goodyear place in Las Vegas this afternoon, I saw a sticker in a truck's back window: Kino Bay -- A drinking village with a fishing problem

A few questions from a Noob

@ sryoder -- I'm really impressed by the pictures you have on your blog of the tide changes! Would you mind if I "steal" them to e-mail to my friends back home? I've tried to take pictures of the tide extremes, but they are from shore and you can just see "water close" / "water far" -- but...

    WiFi Internet through Sat-Net

Turns out the service I have is the 3Mbps, even though we usually only get around 1. However, it does have a "subject to availability in your zone" disclaimer. That's always the case with DSL.
