    Rosie & Insurance

Our GD is headed down - again - this weekend and figured out that it is more cost effective to buy car insurance by the year rather then the trip (Take that Media!!!). Anyway, all it took was a call to Rosie. We had originally suggested to the family to use Rosie for their insurance, the main...

    Lobster Tails

The other day at CS restaurant supply we picked up some frozen lobster tails (I was afraid to look at the price - my total bill was $45 and that included a corn beef, DH's favorite, a couple of other things and the tails, so they couldn't have been that expensive). Anyway, fixed them tonight and...

    Sam's Club update

Were over by Sam's Club today (May 24) and lots of activity going on - building looks completed from outside - heavy construction equipment hard at work in the front area by highway. Still haven't gotten our Sam's Club card yet - knowing us we'll end up waiting until we have to pay full price -...

    La Cita

Has any one been to La Cita lately? Noticed their ad in the Rocky Point Times. From 1957 on my father had breakfast there almost every morning when he was down here. My kids would show up around 4pm for the most wonderful shrimp cocktails in the world - fresh and served in an old fashioned milk...

    Construction Updates - April 2012

Drove by Sam's Club today and a lot more up then a few weeks ago - frame roofed and walled in for the most part. There was a construction truck at the very front by the road moving dirt - not sure what they were doing. If going by the construction of the Bodega I'm guessing that things will go...

    Friday, 20 April 2012

We are having 'Eden' Weather - it is so beautiful. Warm, no wind. Actually not a whole lot of people on the beach or in the pool but those that are are blissful. Dogs are busy playing. If you can get away this weekend you might just want to pack the car and head down.

    9-1-1 Line in English

I just read in the Sonoran newsletter where Sonora has adopted the 9-1-1 emergency line in English. This should make travelers feel a little safer, knowing that there is someone to call. Of course, we've always had our own Rosie!

A friend, an avid fisherman, wanted to know about the fishing in our area - what types, how good it is, if there are marlin and/or sailfish. Any information that could be provided is very much appreciated. I figured this group would know a heck of a lot more then if I went googling for...

    Movie Complex

Has anyone heard what types of movies they will be showing. Or what prices will be like? I had heard that movies in other parts of Mexico, i.e. Cancun area, were very inexpensive, as were popcorn, drinks, etc. Does it still look like it will open by April 15? Tks.

Mall & Old Port Roads & Super Ley

Today, Monday 1/20/2012, drove by the Mall and there were construction trucks and workmen busy - more then I've ever seen in the past 1 1/2 years. Road coming out of the port hasn't been completed yet, but looks fairly close to completion. Took the road the runs north of the church and followed...
