    Sandy Beach Jetty Construction

Being 200 ft. from the water with a rock beach in front is great, but still have to paint every 4 to 5 years and cover up the ac condenser when not there. Love being close to the sound of the waves but it's high maintenance. Hate the high humidity.

Great time in PP. Want to come back!

Never again, it makes spring break of 1988-1998 look like a sweet 16 party. But then again todays Spring Breakers are pretty tame compared to the past. Yes it is that crazy and there are 1-2 hour waits to get to the Malecon, Comp. Hill. I've done it 2x in the last 5 years and swore never again...

    Rocky Point Beaches

Went towards Black Mtn. today, It has changed a bit since last time there 4-5 years ago. The Laguna Mar and L. Shores really make it a pain to use the beach there. Really need to go north of L. Shores to find any open beach to play on, there is a 1/2 mile part in-between the 2 complexes that is...

    Rocky Point Beaches

North beach is 2 developments west of the Mayan Palace. It was heavily promoted during the real estate boom and more than a few people got hosed because of ownership issues and the real estate people who helped these people get hosed. Nice area though.

Love the Santo Tomas area, but too far out there for an easy day trip. It becomes an all day trip One negative for buying there is, we have friends who wanted to sell their Cholla house and build a house in Santo Tomas, after a storm that lasted 3 days finally calmed down we went with them to...

    Mexico Beach Bum

Went there today for the 2nd time and was very pleased much better than the first visit last year. Food was decent and the prices very reasonable. The service was very good. We ate upstairs. A nice improvement since they opened. The décor is nice just wish they had some larger TV's and maybe 2...

    Interesting trip!

Ahh! Visions of what RP will be like on the days the cruise ships will be in port. I just hope they never bring the 4000 passenger ships into the port when it gets finished (or not!!)

You're right Russ, Mainly looking for a place to set up some shade and enjoy the view. As long as I can bring my SUV or buggy to where I am for easy load/un-loading of beach chairs and stuff. I know if I want to ride on the beach the best thing now is going towards El Golfo or way south to...

    Sandy Beach Jetty Construction

Wow, we used to head to the beach just past Encanto and ride our ATV's and buggies all the way to where the Mayan is today. A really spectacular stretch of beach. Are there any beaches to the south you can still take a vehicle on without getting harassed?

Looks like I have to find another beach to visit. Any suggestions not more than 10-20 miles away other than Mi Playa or Black Mtn area?

    Sandy Beach Jetty Construction

I drove by Sandy Beach today and noticed there aren't any RV's camping on it. Over the last 5 years there were always 20-30 camps set-up during Spring Break. Has the Port construction ended access to the beach?

    Any news about Spring Break?

A nice bump in business for the area, lots of traffic in town and in Cholla, but still way down from years ago.

    Cell phone service in Mexico

I used to do that, but since I am RP for only 50 days a year I didn't like that the $10 balance on my phone disappear because of non use while in the USA. Easier for me to just use my T-Mobile account. Now when I retire and start spending 6+ months a year in Mexico I will get a reloadable phone.

    Cell phone service in Mexico

I have a family plan with 5 phones on it (3 with 2.5GB and 2 with .5GB data and we pay $145 per month with a 15% corp. discount. We moved from Verizon 2 years ago and were paying almost $300 with less data. For the record- Verizon has better quality call and data service where I live in AZ, but...

    Cell phone service in Mexico

Here are the details about T-Mobile's Simple Choice plan while traveling in Mexico and abroad. In Mexico they use Telcel and Movistar networks. I have no vested interest in T-Mobile other than being a customer and liking this great program. I really like the free Wi-Fi calls and texting...

If you have T-Mobile and sign up with their Simple mobile plan (what everyone converts to when off contract). **you have to call or change it on-line to get it*), you get .20 cent per minute calls, free texts and 2G/3G data in Mexico and many other countries. This is another option not as cheap...
