I'm looking forward to the pictures of the tenders leaving port, and the ship anchored out in the bay - should be historic.
Hopefully someone posts pics here - the ship lit up at night should be pretty cool to see.
also - detailed trip reports from someone taking the cruise would be great to read.

I too am interested in seeing how and where they access the tenders. It looks like our new fishing breakwater is safe.

How did they do with sales? I imagine it cost a bit to float that boat over here. Heard some haters say sales were dismal.

I heard 490 on the first. I talked to ??? and he said this is an investment.....it wont make any money this year for sure but it shows what you can do when many parts work together for a common goal...my take is you can sit on the sideline and poo poo the whole thing and YOU get nothing. That's easiest to do...but if you want positive changes or if you want to accomplish goals....you gotta work and risk and ignore the hater folk that sit around doing nothing. They may do it in 2020.2021 or they may not...but they are trying and it is a beautiful ship and I am sure that the people going on these explorations will have an awesome experience!

most haters are hoping for a fail...then they can post all about it and feel good about their miserable selves...I prefer forward motion not reverse...

Hey Russ, just an outsider observation. Every time you comment on this forum for I'd say the last two years give or take, all I hear is sarcasm and to be honest, you come across angry. If you are angry that's fine too. Just saying. Kind of sounds like you're talking about yourself.

I guess I've been a natural born hater since the day I was born. I got it from my father. He's a natural at calling bullshit too. He used to throw the bullshit flag on people all the time. We just see things objectively I guess. Come to think of it, I was HATER OF THE YEAR 4 years in a row. If calling this Cruise Ship Port a disaster makes me a hater, then throw my name in the pot for HTY again this year. Just because a ship has sailed out of this disaster doesn't make it not a disaster. Money went missing. Project was delayed for 8 years, cement blocks stand stacked up over in that yard. Work still has not resumed on the port and it's hardly finished. The cruise ship port can be both of these things. A disaster that just watched it's first ship depart!

For the record and for my dear friend Russ. May he have it in his heart to forgive my hating soul.

I WAS WRONG. A ship has SAILED from Rocky Point on January 8, 2020....

Now if Russ can give me credit for predicting this disaster wouldn't get a ship until 2020... I really don't want to search through 8 years of forum posts to find my quote. But a HATER GON HATE!!!! So I might have to! hehe

Happy New Year RUSTY!
