Looks like lock down will continue for awhile

And there goes cheerleader Russ with his defensive and apologetic dogma on Rocky Point.

He’s never seen a problem in Rocky Point, and never will, regardless of the lunacy or danger involved.

Per your unnecessary reply, let me translate for the rest of us knuckle draggers and fear mongers

“They won’t put a gun to your head and force you, by way of splattering your brains all over the roadway, to go through the sanitization tunnel. They are so kind and considerate that they will give you a choice to go through or not go through. “

Thank you Russ. I know so many of us are eternally grateful for you sharing that urgent and profound information.

We can always count on you having the best intel and inside information on everything Puerto Peñasco. Gracias.
Larry, curious as to what causes such a vile comment on a beautiful sunday morning? Did you wake up on the wrong side of a tequila bottle? Do you have to work at being so nasty or does it just flow naturally?

Since you're well connected down there, is there any way you could spread the word that this tunnel is going to scare away tourists as long as it's up? I totally understand locals wanting to protect themselves, so if they feel strongly about the tunnel, then I respect that. However it's possible they might not realize it's a big deal to prospective tourists. Especially those that are older or have small children.

The fact that it's apparently run by volunteers makes it even more dangerous. There's no way I could send my small children through a mystery tunnel composed of who knows what and no clue what the concentration level is.
We went through the spritzer this weekend. if still up, id have no problem taking my little grand boys through it in September.
We went to Mannys, Wrecked and Chef Mickeys on a short turn weekend. We followed all the rules each had in place out of respect for the servers and business owners. Had a fabulous time, and met a bunch of joyous (like us) visitors. If you dont like the rules, dont go. The locals wont miss you.

We're not going, I think I made that clear? I also said I respect their decision to have the tunnel. Not sure why you feel the need to speak for the locals either.

I'm simply saying that for a town that lives on tourism money, they might be interested in hearing what said tourists think about the tunnel. It's not my place to push for change in a foreign country, just simply offering feedback.

I'm glad you had a good trip, I hope we can visit soon.

He's like old faithful in that regard, and it has been that way in all the years since he's joined us. Nope, no surprises with Larry, but he does seem a little over the top of late.

The reason the tunnel scares people is that it's not rational. The virus doesnt live long on a surface like that. Who is going in your car ,house etc that would come in contact with the virus ? No one. It lives and spreads from your coughing , breathing ,sneezing. Thats what spreads it. Not my car seat, steering wheel or my kitchen sink.

Queenie's fearless leaders have been having it tough the past few weeks, must be rubbing off on him.
I have a feeling the next few months it's going to get worse for him.

Well, to be perfectly fair, the average of several recent, highly authoritative polls do show a neck and neck race in Texas.

So if we want to come down a stroll through the tunnel is required, and a temp check, along with reservation (letter from RV park). Anything more?

We have a boat at Safe Marina, would we be allowed to take it out?

They will be adding ionization and oxygenation systems requirement to all businesses. I wonder how much this will cost each place???

Opening windows and venting home and work for as long as possible; as well as open car windows and use mouths cover when moving in it ". ′′ These recommendations we make to our people are part of the new reality we live by Covid-19, and these were made as part of the recommendation of the specialist cardio lung doctor. Therefore we must have doors and windows open which helps air circulation in closed places and decreases the possibility of contagion ". He assured that this new mandatory measure will be considered as a law to the Municipal Health and Safety Council, which is attended to for hotels, restaurants, shops, and all those places opened in the phases of the ′′ Peñasco se Activa ′′ plan. ′′ We are going to put this new regulation on the table, and we are going to demand that establishments implement ionization and oxygenation systems to mitigate Coronavirus, because public health comes first ", Kiko Munro pointed out.

This was on the same Facebook page

"We will be opening our doors very soon for your return, always remembering that entry protocols are of utmost importance and appreciating your cooperation to save a 14-day quarantine once they enter the city."

I don't understand why a tourist can go everywhere and the homeowner will have to be quarantined.

We have a new self proclaimed moderator whoms moral compass we all must follow? I think not Lol
His opener "QUEEN, You are not a decent person. You are a vulgar stupid creature." was spot on, and you can follow him to Timbuktu for all I care.

Update on another death from here. He was transferred to Hermosillo last Monday and put on a vent.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Francisco Javier Carrillo Ruiz, Puerto Peñasco Director of Civil Protection and the Fire Department, who passed away this morning in Hermosillo - where he had been transferred last week. Originally from Guadalajara, Dr. Carrillo had an illustrious career in the medical field, and at one time also served as the Director of the local General Hospital.

As far as I know, nope. Have not seen or heard of the port being reopened yet for any charters or tourist activity. It was my understanding that only commercial fishermen were being allowed out.

Wouldn't mind social distancing myself at the 51 for awhile!
