Fishing tackle for kayak fishing Cholla Bay

Just another thing, I've had regular paddle kayaks, and IMO they can't compete with a peddle drive (and i think some other companies besides Hobie have them now too), I could peddle for an hour straight and not be tired - those peddle drives are so much faster and they free your hands to...

Fishing tackle for kayak fishing Cholla Bay

I've fished a ProAngler 12 down in Rocky Point a number of times...just some random thoughts FWIW.. 1. AWAYS carry a paddle - you need it to launch, return (when too shallow for the Mirage drive), also my friend lost one of the fins while far from shore, without the paddle he would have been...

Visa requirements for Russian citizens to travel to Rocky Point

As long as they have their multi-entry visa with them they should be OK on the US side, but they are paranoid about Mexico. I've not been asked ever myself, but wanted to reassure them. :)

Visa requirements for Russian citizens to travel to Rocky Point

Hi, My in-laws from Russia are (hopefully) coming to visit us in AZ in summer of 2019 and we would like to take them to rocky point, but we are unsure of the visa requirements for Russian citizens. I seem to find information related to Russians visiting the interior of Mexico rather than in...

    Charters

Good point - I think if these guys even get lots of triggers they would be happy - most of them haven't fished much and RP fishing is much better than the little bit of freshwater fishing they have experienced in AZ...hopefully if they have good time I can drag them down to lobos sometime in...

    Charters

All, I'm taking down a group of 7 of my co-workers (most of which who have never been to RP) for a weekend in Sept and was thinking of taking them on a 1/2 day charter trip. I found two places from searching this board: 1. “Pelican” (the captain is Jaimez) – 662-171-2129 This number doesn't...

    kayaks under a grand

Best boy toy ever! Every trip I've taken this year included my kayak. Was just down to Rocky Point two weeks ago. Took a day and fished Puerto Lobos. It was a day the ocean was like glass. No luck on any yellowtail, but got a sore arm on the mondo triggers and spotted bass! So much...

    kayaks under a grand

I have a pro angler 12 and my buddy has the 14 - they are amazing boats for fishing; fast, stable, comfortable seats, and well laid out - the only drawback for me is the weight - they are pretty heavy boats and if you need to get them over a rocky shore or up a steep embankment, it's quite a...

    Ugly Americans at sea....Baja Story

I've fished from San Diego and they've been using live bait for more than 30 years (unless it was outlawed recently). This is nothing new at all. You can see the fish counts for many San Diego based boats online at places like this. T

    Papers for kayak

My buddy and I went down on the 18th and at the border we got the red light and the girl asked for "papers" for the kayaks (we had 2 on a trailer). She didn't speak any English, but with my limited Spanish I was able to figure it out what she wanted. I didn't think I needed any papers for...

    Fishfinder and basic Safety Gear

+1 on the air horn, one came with my kayak from the previous owner and it helps to wake up the jet ski folks who think they should come as close as possible to your boat...I have a tackle web on my seat and i keep the horn there just in case I need it in a hurry.
