Where to shop by the resorts?

If all you need is quick beer and such, there is a little convenience store next to Wrecked At The Reef. There is also a Pemex station like a mile away on the new highway from Sandy Beach towards Laguna Del Mar.

    Medicinal Marijuana

Like someone said earlier, if you need weed.....just hit up Calle Trece lol. Or ask any cab driver. The scariest time of my life was in a Rocky Point cab when some guy in our group asked for cocaine (I wasn't friends with him...just the guy happened to come down on a golf trip). Cab driver...

    Need a little info

Wrecked At The Reef is the best bar in Rocky Point and it's on Sandy Beach. Guy from Scottsdale bought the old Reef bar and remodeled the living heck out of it. It's AWESOME. Changos is decent. It's in front of the Sonoran Sxxx? Resort, but it's hit or miss when it's busy.

I too am interested in this. We have two 100lb Labradors. I'd love to bring them to the beach.

Get Your own own Beach Place while you are young

I'm only 28 and my wife and I would love to one day own something in Rocky Point. Been coming here 4-6 times a year for the last 10 years. I love this place. I just got my real estate license to sell homes on the side from my regular job so I plan to bank and away and save commission money. As...

    Memorial Day 2012

If you are leaving on Friday or Saturday, expect about a 15-30 minute wait just to get INTO Mexico.

Where to go out at night?

Mannys and all those places downtown are a lost cause. In fact lots of them are closed most of the time, and when they are open nobody is there. Sad to see. The best place to day drink is Boo Bar and Shark Bite by the fish market. For the best time at night, Wrecked At The Reef on Sandy Beach...

    Medicinal Marijuana

I crossed the border last week and there was a German Shepard customs dog on the Mexico side on both my way into Mexico and back into Arizona.

    " Wrecked "

Not sure....I know the lead singer's name is Manuel. They don't really have a DJ, but during band breaks they fire up the laptop and play the current pop hits on the radio. It's not a dance club at all. But the dance floor is packed at night when the band plays. If you want a dance club you...

    " Wrecked "

Wrecked At The Reef is my favorite bar in all of Rocky Point. The remodel to it is incredible. Great food. The staff there is a great group of people. The house band, La Merca, is top notch and is so good they would be booked 7 days straight if they were in Scottsdale.

    Memorial Day 2012

It's on the Malecon area by the fish market. It's an upstairs bar. On the right side of the street. Maybe 100yds past Flavios Restaurant. Jose Flores is the owner/manager and is an awesome guy. I think the Asst. Mgr guy's name is Jerry. Pick a booth next to the open windows and it overlooks the...

    Memorial Day 2012

IMO, the places to day drink are Boo Bar and Shark Bite. Usually a decent fun crowd there. Especially when the 3 story beer bong comes out at Shark Bite lol. JJ's Cantina is a nice place to relax with a beer. I haven't drank at the new Wrecked At Old Port but I was next to it on Friday and it...

    Memorial Day 2012

THIS. Mirador is nothing like it used to be back in my college days. Place is a deserted and ghetto ghost town now. I am a huge fan of Wrecked At The Reef. I think it's the best place to be in Rocky Point at night. La Merca is their Fri/Sat band and they are freaking awesome. Great clientle...

Got back this week after staying at Laguna Shores on a DealChicken.com promo

I wanted to play golf on Sunday, so I drove down to Mayan Palace with a friend to play Peninsula De Cortes. I've good friends with all of the staff there, and was quite saddened to hear the Director of Golf, Andrew, has accepted a new position in Nicargua and will be leaving soon. He's been...

Got back this week after staying at Laguna Shores on a DealChicken.com promo

Sand was fine and soft. All the way out for 2 miles to the water lol. Obviously a few shells here and there, but it wasn't like walking on glass. It wasn't muddy and for the entire distance was pretty packed/firm. There were several old abandoned crab cages. Some of them had crabs in them...

Got back this week after staying at Laguna Shores on a DealChicken.com promo

We didn't take any of the resort because we were only there to sleep, for the most part. If you are looking for something very peaceful/quiet with nobody around, then this is the spot for you. The only downside is the tide goes out so far that you will not enjoy beach time. But it also could...

Got back this week after staying at Laguna Shores on a DealChicken.com promo

My wife and I got a deal for $69 total. For 3 days/2 nights, including a dinner and a bottle of wine from DealChicken.com I've been to RP close to 30 times, but never have ventured towards the Laguna Shores/Black Mtn area. Figured we'd give it a try, and for $23/day...I'm not gonna complain...

    Sonoyta Bridge?

I crossed over the bridge last Friday and again on Sunday. They were working on it but cars were still allowed to drive on it. No delay either.
