A friend of mine makes and sells purses made out of the plastic grocery bags- she cuts the bag into one strip and crochets them into a purse. That is something they could do in Penasco.

The houses on the beach of Playa Miramar by the Mayan (which were previously owned by Ejido Miramar) are privately owned by Americans, Mexicans and Canadians w/ bank trusts since 2005. Ejido Miramar still owns a lot of land by the airport.

God and Mr. Gomez reminds me of our experience building a house in Mexico w/ the Ejidos. A little corny, but almost everything that happened in the book happened to us or someone we know.

Best fish/shrimp tacos- Blue Marlin w/ "sonoran (baja) sauce". I also like the shrimp quesadilla.

Look at Oracle north of Tucson- it's about 10 degrees cooler in the summer.

According to her, if I want to get to Penasco, I'll have to drive from Tucson over to Texas, cross the border there, then to Penasco. My 3 hour 45 minute trip just got a lot longer.

On Sunday at 2:00, it was 84 degrees on the beach! I think the high was 87- the weather was perfect.

Let's thank EVERY police officer and Federale for the incredibly brave work they're doing. My prayers are with the chief, his family, and the citizens of Penasco.
