I think I know why it's called "Blind Trust" although that is an oxymoron, and so am I.
I am aware of IPX and Daniel B. I own a condo next door at the sonoran sun and have seen a lot of guys working on Esmeralda as recently as last week. I do hope it gets finished and that this is not a scam - it could be a beautiful resort when complete.
Intentions good or bad put to the curb... buying into a tower left exposed to the salt air that long is a gamble...
There is a sign on the Playa Encanto/Caborca road advertizing Playa Azul. That's another rust bucket now being marketed. Real Cheap though.
I'll be down there next week and will post some pics - I don't know this guy and I'm not his advocate - but I will says that if this is a scam or a ruse it's pretty elaborate ....
There is a lot of money to be made. You have to understand the laws and or the lack therof for realestate. in Mexico. Talk is cheap. This development had lots or real and potential problems for buyers. Hundreds of thousands have already been lost by buyers. By law they have an interest in the p;roject. A private financing contract is worthless here. Totally worthless. And the guy has a track record of being a crook.
But the Mayor loves him. He was at a big re-dedication ceremony this weekend with the local pols. All over Facebook.
Here's some news about this from RP360.
Stuart, which FB link are you using for Penasco.
The only one I have found is pretty worthless.
Too many clueless people asking questions they could answer themselves just by Googgling it.
Which would bring them to posts from here.
I'm like a Facebook hater. I have a presence there, but seldom to never post anything. There are three Facebook Penasco groups and I follow all three (loosely). The 360 group is total cheerleading. 360 used to post here until he realized we ain't blowing sunshine up anybody's ass about Penasco. Dan Kowalarski's (spelling, forgive me) is very fair and reasonable. He calls it like it tends to be and may the chips fall where they need to. There is one other group, but they are all over the place. I don't follow them explicitly.
You are correct, they now get hammered with the crazy do I need a passport posts much more than we do. Or where can I get a tick bath for my dog. Don't need that crap here, don't want it either.
There is much promotion of self interest on Facebook. Certain restaurants, etc. We don't play that here. You like it, fine, say so. But don't freakin' tell me about your fried chicken special every week.
actually this is a Nicklaus course: https://www.golfadvisor.com/courses/32089-the-nicklaus-design-course-at-vidanta-puerto-penasco/ Yes?
even a broken clock .....
– Jack Nicklaus signature golf course (I'm not a golfer, but from what I've heard from those that are, playing golf in Rocky Point is pretty sucky. Something to do with having enough water and know how to keep the greens green.)
– Resort Investment #2 (????????? #3 #4 #5...... Uh-huh.)[/QUOTE]
I am not a golfer but know people who play at the Mayan regularly, several who live here just to play and they play every day. They have all golfed all over the world and say that the Mayan is one of the nicest, most challenging they have ever played. No personal involvement with the Mayan..
Actually I did inquire with one of the big cheeses about how they test the medal structures and he said they use acid, I just hope it's not blotter.
I was near there Sunday and decided to check it out. Couldn't pass the gate. Gal told me they don't have anyone working on Sundays, no brochure , nothing. Incredible for a holiday weekend and a resort depending on presales to fund construction.
Hey Stuart, wanted to check with you and see if you knew of any good fried chicken specials in RP this week ?
Let me check Facebook...
That's funny !!
Was totally kidding of course, glad it was taken in good humor!
