I'm surprised (and impressed) that a panga operator out of Rocky Point could get you to such nice fish. I'd written off Rocky Point panga excursions as limited to triggers and other small fish.

Desemboque is pretty much sand flats. You'd need to go out quite a ways for better fishing. Don't know about the hotel, but in general I don't have anything to do with Desemboque for various reasons. Better to go the few extra miles to Lobos.
