Yes I notice that on the weekend they seem to shut if off completely. On weekdays it's often slower than dialup. Are there any alternative high speed providers that anyone is aware of.

I am on Sandy beach at the Spa. My Telmex connection is really slow a lot of the time. When I check wireless networks in the area they all seem to disappear when the connection is slow. Anyone know if this problem is unique to Sandy Beach, or just overall lousy service from Telmex?

I have a car that's over 6 yrs old with US Plates. You mentioned it could be imported if you have resident status in Mexico. Do you still pay a import duty if you are a resident, if so what % is it? Thanks

Roberto I found this company in the USA that offers short term US Insurance if you have US Plates AND a US License. https://www.segurogringo.com/default.aspx I do not know anything about this company from their site Cars & Vans with USA license plates...

Is it possible to rent a car in Rocky Point, to drive across the border to the USA. I was told by someone that you have to have a Mexican license (I have a Canadian license). This seems odd to me as most people renting cars would be tourists. If it is possible to rent a car here to take across...

Yes if you don't have a 4 digit code. you can not withdraw funds from a ATM in another country. (at least that is what my bank told me)
