Continued Harassment by the Police Department

Mex Hwy 8 between Sonoyta and Puerto Penasco belongs to the drug cartels after dark - AVOID! Sonoyta is a focal point for cartel drug smuggling into the US. Many murders, that are unreported in the media, occur there due to competition from other cartels for US drug routes. If the border were...

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

So why would you be surprised? A lot of property in Penasco is owned by members of "the Cartel". They scare the tourists away, depress property values, then pick up property at incredible bargains! You don't need a "local friend" to tell you that "great revelation".

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

Your point still isn't clear, and you are a teacher??? No wonder our kids come out of school not knowing what end is up! You sound like Barack Hussein Obama, who recently stated that it is easier to buy a gun than it is to buy vegetables! Just another lie. I only mentioned ATF Form 4473 ONCE...

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

OK, Jerry. Substitute the slang term for another ethnic minority group for "cracker", and see if your statement passes the racist test. Slang terms are a no-no for minority groups, but OK to describe white people. Something really wrong with that.

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

So, to you, a law-abiding citizen is classified as a "kook", just because he buys a gun from another law-abiding citizen? just who is the "kook"?

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

It's unclear what message you are trying to get across. Private sales between law-abiding citizens have nothing to do with crime, if that is what you are inferring. Private sales between criminals cannot be controlled by laws. Chicago is a good example, where there is a lucrative criminal market...

Gun battle in front of school in Rocky Point March 17

..."but in Arizona they all but sell them in gumball machines." Where do you get that from? In Arizona, just like the rest of the US, one must execute a federal ATF Form 4473, and submit to an instant background check in order to buy a firearm.

The Homeport...A reason a week it is a bad idea

The issue will be resolved by economics. There are many unfinished projects everywhere you look in Mexico. Many exist in RP. One flagrant example is an iron high-rise that was started several years ago in Mirador. It was worked night and day, around the clock, then suddenly abandoned, like...

Can I get in and out without a Passport??

I have no problem with CBP agents at the border. They can ask as many questions as they require to assure that you are who you say you are, and are authorized entry into the US. However, I have a problem with some agents at the highway BP checkpoints. These are immigration/citizenship...

Can I get in and out without a Passport??

We have been taking our 91 pound German Sheppard mix with us back and forth. They are mostly interested in rabies shot records, so we take extra copies with us. Sometimes they want a copy, and take a photo, sometimes they only ask to see the papers. Good to be prepared for either and avoid any...

Can I get in and out without a Passport??

An expired passport doesn't mean that you are no longer a US citizen!

Can I get in and out without a Passport??

Passport or no passport, if you are a US citizen you can't be denied entry to your country. Nothing more, nothing less.

    Repeater or Booster?

A Linksys WRT54GS2 router, or similar router programmed with DDWRT firmware will do. You can buy a suitable router on eBay for around $20. You can program these as a repeater to extend the range of the signal. I have property in the Mirador area and can help you if you contact me.

    Drug sniffing dog

Oxycodone and Hydrocodone are nothing more than low grade heroin. They are highly addictive pain killers for short term use. However, many get addicted by over prescribing. Heroin is much less expensive than these prescription opioids in the illegal market, thus the increase in popularity. Poppy...

    Drug sniffing dog

If you are referring to Border Patrol highway checkpoints - DRUGS! These highway checkpoints are "immigration" check points. As a US citizen, you don't have to answer any of their questions as to where you are coming from, or where you are going. US citizens are free to travel in their country...

    Drug sniffing dog

Legalizing pot in AZ will have no impact on smuggling. Only a negligible amount of pot smuggled into AZ is consumed in AZ. AZ is a major smuggling corridor for distribution to other parts of the US, not the final consumption point.

    Drug sniffing dog

Monkey see, monkey do. Just copying what is done on the US side. Sensors first on the US side, now sensors before you get to the Red or Green light entering Mexico. Some dogs are trained out to smell the ink on large quantities of US currency.

Wierd scene coming into Rocky Point today.

Exactly! If you are that good at beating 50:50 odds, you should be great at the slot machine, or any table game.

Wierd scene coming into Rocky Point today.

Thanks for agreeing with me, Kenny. That's a first! I don't understand the reason behind your derogatory jab. Unfortunately, a lot of posts reflect various degrees of imaginary paranoia about Penasco, and don't represent our perspective. It's my opinion that the military did a very stupid...
